El Galeon Sails into Port Canaveral

In celebration of the Spanish landing in Florida 500 years ago the 170′ replica Spanish Treasure ship El Galeón will be sailing up the Florida cost.  She will be Docked at the Cove in Port Canaveral From May 1st – 12th.  The ship gives tours of the Deck, Canon Level and has a  Projection presentation in the cargo hold.  The tiny by today’s standards ship would hold between 180-200 men and sail across the Atlantic.

Times and Cost:

Wednesday, May 1, through Sunday, May 12. Weekday mornings are set aside for school groups and other organizations. The galleon opens to the general public from noon to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday, and 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. on weekends.

General admission is $15 for adults and $11 for children. Express passes, allowing visitors to schedule a two-hour window where they can skip the general admission line, are $22 for adults and $18 for children. A limited number of visitors can also attend an evening soiree with food, wine, and beer on May 11. A total of 150 tickets are available at $75 each.
